Academy Netball Club was first set up in 1967 when a group of ex-school friends decided they wanted to continue playing netball. One of the players worked for Wilson Cards and the company agreed to provide sponsorship. They were based in a building called Academy House and the players decided to adopt this as their name.
By the early 70’s the name had been shortened to Academy which is still used to this day.
Now inĀ it’s 40th year, Academy is a highly sucessful club that has grown to over 50 members with teams entred into 4 different leagues.

You have a “young Lady” Alison Creak who has played netball for England ,on your list. She lodged with me in the 1960’s and we became good friends. I would like to get in touch again, but have lost her address. Please give her my Email address if possible.
Many Thanks Ann Waddingham(previously Elston)

Hi
I was interested in training with your club. Could you advise as to when you would be training and perhaps looking for new members?
